Our Mandarino Amaro is a long-awaited passion project of our founders. We aimed to capture the essence of Italian sightseeing in a bottle with a distinct Mandarin orange twist. As the name and orange hue suggest, this is a citrus-forward amaro with notes of cherry, rhubarb, and allspice. This sippable bittersweet liqueur makes for a perfect aperitif and can transform a simple cocktail into a complex, crave-worthy drink! 

What's Amaro? 

An amaro is a bittersweet herbal liqueur made by infusing an alcoholic base, such as a neutral spirit, grape brandy, or wine, with botanical ingredients such as herbs, citrus peels, roots, spices, and flowers. Typically, each Amaro has a secret recipe. The resulting liquid is sweetened and then aged. 

Amaro is a traditional Italian-style liqueur noted for its bitter-sweet palate. Amaro actually means "bitter" in Italian. Although you aren't familiar with this term, you've almost definitely come across an amaro without realizing it. There might even be one sitting in your home bar right now! Most importantly, all amaro is unique. Every distillery has its own secret recipe, each blending bitters, spices, herbs, and fruits. Similar to Aperol, our Mandarino Amaro was made for a refreshing summer spritz or a spicy Margarita! 

Mandarino Spritz

Add the following into a big wine glass with ice:

  • 2 oz Mandarino Amaro
  • 3 oz prosecco
  • 1 oz soda water

Garnish with a slice of orange.
