La Bicicletta

When it comes to easy, refreshing cocktails, few are as delightful as the Italian aperitivo, La Bicicletta. This simple yet elegant cocktail is perfect for an afternoon sip or a pre-dinner drink, especially when made with our Confluence Mandarino Amaro. With a light effervescence from soda water and the crisp acidity of white wine, La Bicicletta offers a well-balanced, citrus-forward experience that’s both refreshing and full of character.

Legend has it that La Bicicletta is named after Italian locals who would wobble home on their bicycles after indulging in a few too many of these delightful drinks.

One thing's for sure, it’s incredibly easy to make, it’s even easier to enjoy.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Confluence Mandarino Amaro
  • 3 oz Soda Water
  • 2 oz Dry White Wine (like Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc)
  • Ice
  • Orange Wheel for garnish

Instructions (VIDEO HERE):

  1. Prepare the Glass: Fill a wine glass with ice.

  2. Build the Cocktail: Pour 1.5 oz of Confluence Mandarino Amaro over the ice, followed by 2 oz of dry white wine.

  3. Top it Off: Add 3 oz of soda water.

  4. Garnish: Gently stir, then garnish with an orange wheel to enhance the citrus notes.

Why We Love It:

La Bicicletta is simple yet tasty. The sweetness and bitterness of our Mandarino Amaro is beautifully balanced by the bright acidity of the white wine, while the soda water adds a refreshing sparkle. The result is a cocktail that’s light yet complex, making it the perfect aperitivo to awaken your palate without overpowering it. It’s a drink that invites you to slow down, relax, and enjoy the moment whether you’re sipping it on a sunny patio or as the sun sets over dinner.
